This tour route considered as the visit of the tribes west of the Omo river and can be approached through the center of the coffee industry area Jimma, Bedele and finally to Gambela to visit the Nilotic Anuak and Nuer people which are distinctively featured with their scarification seen on each of the man temples and face .They are neighbors with the South Sudan partners over the borders. Also the visit will proceed to the Dizi highland people compressed between the Menit and Suri people. The surma are made up of the Mursi east of the Omo River, the Tirma positioned from Tulgit to the Kibish River, the chai from the Kibish River to Bachagi, Bala Zilmum around the town of Moca and Suri south of Bachagi.
The tribes to be visited in this route are so much outside the influences of modern life .They govern themselves with a system of age groups and entirely dependent on their cattle and crops alone. The situation around the tribes seems unstable due to the encroachments, grazing land and cattle rustling among the neighboring tribes and from the border in the southern Sudan.
