Visit the vibrant diverse people along the Omo River Rift Valley with their exotic identities that fascinate the world. It is also considered as one of the most concentration of the greatest ethnic diversity on earth,the lower Omo valley is the home of more than 18 different tribes that includes the colorful Hammer ,the painted Karo ,the Mursi famous for their women put lip-plate ,Konso known for their Landscape terracing ,Bena ,Tsemai, Nyangatom,Dassanech,and Erbore. The Omo River started and goes through the highlands and forests before be part of the lower Omo valley and finally enter to Lake Turkana.

What to Expect

Traveling to this greater region of pastoralists will provide to the traveler the idea how a population far away from civilization in the southern corner of Ethiopian Rift Valley survived to this day maintaining their old rituals and string culture. It has also special interest for palaeo-anthropological study, where the lower Omo valley has prehistoric sites at which ancient hominids have been discovered and it was recognized as USESCO world heritage site.
