    Tour Details

    The tour includes Axum,Lalibela, Gondar and Lake Tana region which is very famous for its fascinating history that has left incredible monuments, scripts, religious facts and many more artifacts that is even difficult to imagine in the modern world. We will have discussions over Ethiopian historical facts which add the most amazing of myths like – Did Queen of Sheba reign in Ethiopia and Yemen from Axum? Is the original Arc of the covenant placed in Axum church? Was Prester John of Indies traveled to Ethiopia? Did the lost tribe of Israel found in Ethiopia? And the like questions will be entertained during your stay in the North Historic Ethiopia.

    Itinerary

    Day 1 Arrive in Addiss Ababa, Ethiopia

    On arrival be meet by our representative and transferred to Jupiter Hotel.

    Day 2flight to Bahirdar

    The Ethiopian Airlines Daily flight will take you to Bahir Dar with the number of good Hotels and is located on the southern shore of Lake Tana. This is the source of the Blue Nile, with its most spectacular feature, the Tis Isat waterfalls. Many of the Lake Tana islands have historical churches and monasteries which exhibit the medieval Ethiopian history, icons and manuscripts.
    Up on arrival transferred to the Hotel for check- in and a drive takes you to Blue Nile Falls and return back for lunch and afternoon a boat ride on Lake Tana to the Monasteries.

    Day 3Drive to Gondar

    182 Km drive will take you to the 17th century capital city of Ethiopia and remained for almost 300 Years. The oldest and most impressive of Gondar’s many imperial structures is the palace of Emperor Fasilidas.There is other fascinating historical buildings and relics to be seen in the area. One of the most spectacularly painted churches in Ethiopia; Debre Birhan Selassie will be visited here.

    Day 4Drive to Semien Mountains National Park

    Drive takes you to the Famous World Heritage site (registered by UNESCO) of the Semien Mountains National Park is a home to three of the endemic mammals, Walia Ibex, Gelada Baboon and Abyssinian wolf. Ras Dashen the fourth highest mountain in Africa with an altitude of 4620m is also located in the national park. Herds of LION- LIKE Gelada Baboons and the spectacular view of jagged mountains, plunging down into deep gorges and leveling off into grassy plateau, is the high light of the visit.
    Overnight – Semien Lodge at an altitude of 3600m and at the midst of Alpine moor land.

    Day 5Drive around the National Park

    More, game view drive around the National Park, and back to Gondar.

    Day 6Fly to Lalibela

    Fly to Lalibela which is considered as the 8th wonders of the world and world Heritage site registered by UNESCO.Though not much more than a village now, Lalibela is internationally – renowned for its rock-hewn churches dating back to the 12th century. Physically prized from the rock in which they carved, these towering edifices seem to be of the superhuman creation in scale, workmanship and concept.

    Day 7Fly to Axum

    Morning flight will take you to Axum flying over the mountains region of Tigray and the Semien Mountains. Axum is the northernmost part of the country and the site of the most ancient city. It is renowned for its cathedral of St. Mary of Zion where, as legend has it, the original Ark of the Covenant is housed. Axum is also known for its mysterious monolithic stele compound, all made of a single pieces of granite. The biggest and largest monolith in the world (33 m height and 500 tones) ever carved from a single granite is also situated in the site collapsed at some remote period.

    Day 8Axum – Addis Ababa

    Transfer to the Airport for Addis flight and Farewell dinner at one of the Traditional houses with the Folk dance.Tranfer to the Airport for your International flight.
